SEE MY RESUME
Hello!
I'm Meghan! I'm a 2017 graduate of Bowling Green State University, and have since been working as a Post Production Producer at WBGU-TV, a PBS station where I worked my last two years of college.

I'm passionate about video, movies, editing, public media, photography, traveling, minimalism, reading, writing, health, yoga, and too many other things to list!

I've been making videos since I was about 10 years old, and while they were obviously not good, I definitely had a knack for it and picked up on a lot of editing principles just from watching movies. More recently, I've had one of my shorts films win awards in three different film festivals, including an international one based in Cleveland! I recently submitted one of my other projects to the Emmy's and am keeping my fingers crossed that it gets nominated for an award!

My dream job is one that allows me to exercise my creativity, to continually grow and learn, and to provide to the community. That's exactly why I'm so passionate about PBS! I certainly wouldn't complain if that included a bit of traveling as well!

Check out my work below and let me know what you think! I strive to be better at my job and to be an even better person each and every day.
MY SKILLS
  1. Editing
My main passion is editing, which I find to be the most creative aspect of video production. It's so rewarding taking dozens of clips and rearranging them and piecing them together to create a compelling story. I also love being the finishing editor on projects and taking someone else's work from good to great! I have advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, and am proficient in Adobe Audition and After Effects. This includes cutting video, color grading, and editing audio.
  2. Producing
I love seeing a vision come to life and working with others to help make that happen. I have experience co-producing entire seasons of TV shows like the national PBS show, The American Woodshop, and the live music show, Live at Howard's. I also have experience being the sole producer on shows like BGSU Brain Game. Along with these experiences, I oversee edits, make sure broadcast standards are followed, add closed captions, and ensure every frame of the final product is excellent before it airs or is given to a client.
  3. Cinematography
One of my other passions is cinematography. It's something I'm working on improving constantly, but I've come such a long way since my cinematic adventure began. I am familiar with various DSLR cameras, as well as Sony A-series, FS7, and a7S. I am also familiar with JVC cameras, sliders, jibs, MōVI Pro, and various techniques like high frame rate slow motion and time lapses.
  4. Storytelling
One of my passions throughout my whole life has been storytelling. From writing my first short story when I was 6, to winning a writing contest when I was 10 (and getting my story published into a play that toured the state!) to writing fiction throughout my high school and college days, I have always loved to tell stories. Stories are such an important part of culture and history around the world, and my favorite medium to tell them is through video.
